We are seeking an experienced nanny in Orpington for a three‑day temporary placement supporting a 5‑year‑old child. This short assignment requires a professional who is confident working independently, able to manage a full day of childcare, and comfortable delivering structured and free play. The role is ideal for a nanny who enjoys engaging children through creativity, outdoor activities, and calm, regulated play.
The successful nanny will demonstrate strong sole‑charge experience and be able to maintain routines, transitions and emotional regulation throughout the day. As this is a temporary role, reliability and punctuality are essential. The family requires an 8:00 start each day, and the nanny must be able to travel to Orpington BR6 consistently and without difficulty.
Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of two years paid, sole‑charge experience in in‑home childcare roles. Experience caring for children aged 5 is essential, as the nanny will be responsible for planning age‑appropriate activities that support learning, creativity and emotional development. The nanny should be confident delivering a balance of structured play, outdoor play, creative tasks and calm, regulated activities.
Professional Skills
The nanny must demonstrate excellent time‑keeping, clear communication and the ability to plan a full day of engaging activities. Strong understanding of routines, transitions and emotional regulation is required. The nanny will communicate with parents and Blossom Tree Family Services throughout the placement and must be able to commit to all three dates.

Engagement Expectations
The nanny must be available for all three days and able to arrive for an 8:00 start. A simple activity plan for each day is required. The nanny must demonstrate confidence in supporting a 5‑year‑old through structured and free play, ensuring the child remains engaged, safe and emotionally regulated.
